Certificate in Photography

Are you fascinated with photography? Would you love to start a career working with light as your medium? If you have fallen in love with the field of photography then our Certificate in Photography will be perfect as it allows you to experiment with both traditional and digital media.

What is the course like?

The Certificate in Photography is designed to help you to develop your own create ideas using a number of different media.This programme will teach you how to use a camera to take photographs in a range of situations; understand and use manipulation techniques relating to camera, film and darkroom practice; and apply knowledge of the history of photography relating to modern usage and technical developments. Students get exposed to a wide range of photographic styles – photojournalism,fashion, portraits, landscapes and product photography.

Classes are held four days a week, and it is recommended that you use your 5th day for project work.

What does the Certificate in Photography prepare you for?

Studying with award-winning commercial photographer Chris Hill, you will gain a thorough grounding in the basics of photography. The skills and practical experience you gain here will allow you to proceed to Level 4 or 5 study at WITT Art, Design and Media. It will also start you on your journey to becoming a photographer, photographer’s assistant, or photo-laboratory assistant.
