“These images present a darkened landscape. The long exposure times heightens the illusion of night and day. Photographic imagery is a way of reflecting moods and emotions; the blue and black tones give a haunting feeling to the forgotten landscapes. Throughout this year thoughts and skills have grown and developed as well as the ability to capture and create a moment through the camera lens.”

I have been taking photos since I was 5, mostly just snap shots of trips or whatever was around at the time. I became more interested in photography as I started high school, taking photos at pre balls, ports matches and NCEA level 2 and 3. Studying at WITT has developed my skills and love of capturing moments further, there have been a few challenges along the way but I feel this year has been worth it! I love taking photos of landscapes as I feel you can portray different emotions and elements. My exhibition pieces are based around this idea.
