WITT Art, Design and Media offers a range of qualifications allowing you to pick the right level of study and the right creative focus for you.

NZ Certificate in Digital Media and Design

This 17 week certificate is suitable for people looking to gain a foundation in computer graphics. Your tutors will guide you through the entire time, and together with your classmates you will learn by completing projects in digital photography, digital video, digital illustration, graphic design, typography and web design. This programme is designed for students interested in Visual Arts or Digital Media. It provides students with essential creative skills in design, drawing, animation and web, and introduces students to Aotearoa New Zealand Art and Culture. Students can select a further elective in either Visual Arts (painting, sculpture) or Moving Image (video). Ideal for students who want to work on their portfolio, or those who wish to explore their creative options. This diploma is an exciting option for those students who want to gain a broad knowledge in creative technologies. With a duration of 2 years, you can begin to specialise in your chosen creative field. Students also have the option to complete a 3rd and final year at WelTec to gain the Bachelor in Creative Technologies. The Diploma in Creative Technologies offers specialisation in either visual arts (painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture) or digital media (photography, print media, web media, digital film, television and animation). Trades Academy

Taranaki Trades Academy allows Yr 11, 12, and 13 students at secondary school to study at WITT one day a week. Gain credits towards NCEA Level 2 while studying a vocational course. Learn more about Trades Academy >>
